Tour Plan

DAY 1: Arrive Delhi

Welcome to India! You are greeted at the airport by your private driver who gives you a traditional Indian welcome with a flower necklace for you and says “Namaste”, welcome in Hindi. He will take you to your hotel. Arrive at your hotel and either start to explore Delhi or have a rest to prepare for your vacation in India. Overnight at the hotel. MEALS: None OVERNIGHT: 3 or 4 Star Hotel, Delhi

DAY 2: Delhi City Tour

Today your driving will take you on a city tour of Delhi to see all the major sights. Visit the historic Red Fort and the Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque), India’s largest mosque. Visit popular Chandni Chowk area and take an optional rickshaw ride (not included), then visit Raj Ghat- the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. Back to the hotel in the afternoon and spend the evening at leisure. MEALS: Breakfast OVERNIGHT: 3 or 4 Star Hotel, Delhi

DAY 3: Delhi ~ Agra

After breakfast and check-out around 9AM, drive to Agra -it will take upto 3 hours to arrive in Agra. When you arrive in Agra, check-in to your hotel. Overnight at hotel. MEALS: Breakfast OVERNIGHT: 3 or 4 Star Hotel, Agra

DAY 4: Agra

Today you will visit one of the 7 wonders of the world; the Taj Mahal, a highlight of any holiday to India! The Taj Mahal was built over a period of 22 years by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). After lunch visit to the impressive Agra Fort, built by three Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great. MEALS: Breakfast OVERNIGHT: 3 or 4 Star Hotel, Agra

DAY 5: Agra ~ Fatehpur Sikri ~ Jaipur

Today we have another long drive (5 hours) to Jaipur, the Pink City. Just out of Agra we stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, a town built in the 17th Century by Emperor Akbar with Red Sand Stone but immediately abandoned after 15 years of occupancy due to water shortage and political issues. Continue your drive to Jaipur. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and famous for Palaces and bazaars of textiles, pottery, jewellers and folk based arts & handicrafts ~ a paradise for shoppers. Spending the afternoon wondering around the bazaars, haggling for the lowest prices and mingling with the locals is the best way to see Jaipur! MEALS: Breakfast OVERNIGHT: 3 or 4 Star Hotel, Jaipur

DAY 6: Jaipur City Tour

A full day in Jaipur sightseeing in this wonderful city. This morning we visit the magnificent Amber Fort and palace complex, built with stunning white marble and yellow and pink sandstone. Inside the palace visit the Jag Mandir (The Hall of Victory), Sheesh Mahal – a room with four walls and the ceiling completely embedded with glittering mirrors, imported from Belgium. The City Palace is the royal residence. Now part of this residence is converted into museum and a part of the portion is still now occupied by the royal family of Jaipur. An impressive array of pistols, blunderbusses, swords, rifles and daggers are found in the Armoury museum. MEALS: Breakfast OVERNIGHT: 3 or 4 Star Hotel, Jaipur

DAY 7: Jaipur ~ Delhi

If the schedule of your international flight allows, take the opportunity to make the last visits that are important to you, browse the bazaars to find souvenirs to bring back or Tip a last chai masala tea. You private driver will accompany you to the airport. You will leave INDIA by keeping memories of Indian culture, traditions, religious experiences etc with you.
